The Prosthetic Sock Management Tool (PSMT) is an educational and organizational tool designed to help users of lower-limb prosthetics manage comfort by adjusting prosthetic sock ply as residual limb volume changes. It helps users understand when to add or remove sock layers and recognize signs that an adjustment may be needed.
The PSMT includes a carrying case with three internal zippered pockets for organizing prosthetic socks by ply, an additional pocket for personal items, and a self-diagnostic graphic explaining sock adjustments. It also features an adjustable strap for hanging from walking aids and a loop front for attaching personal Velcro patches.
