2. Platform Overview
Shop State Made is a directory platform that allows:
- Makers to list products made in their state
- Stores to list existing Maker products they carry
- Shoppers to discover products and businesses
We do not sell products directly. Listings may link to third-party websites for purchase.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
4. Listings and Content
You are responsible for all content you submit, including:
- Product details
- Business information
- Images and descriptions
By submitting content, you grant Shop State Made a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote your listings on the platform.
You agree that:
- Your listings are accurate and not misleading
- You have the right to use all submitted content
- Your products meet our stated criteria (including being made in the state listed)
We reserve the right to remove or modify listings that do not meet our standards.
5. Public Information
Information submitted in listings (including business name, product details, and location) may be publicly visible on the platform.
6. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid listings are billed on a recurring basis unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
By purchasing a listing, you agree:
- To pay all applicable fees
- That subscriptions will renew automatically unless canceled
- To manage or cancel your subscription through your account
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Refunds
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
8. Third-Party Links
Listings may include links to third-party websites.
We are not responsible for:
- The content of third-party sites
- Transactions between users and third parties
- The privacy or business practices of third-party websites
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Upload harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
- Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the platform
We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Shop State Made may review listings to ensure they meet our platform criteria, including but not limited to products being made in the state listed.
By submitting a listing, you agree that:
- All information provided is accurate and truthful
- Your products meet the stated criteria of being made in the state selected
- You can provide supporting information if requested
We reserve the right to:
- Request additional information or clarification
- Perform random audits of listings at any time
- Modify or remove listings that do not meet our criteria
Verification by Shop State Made, if conducted, is limited in scope and does not constitute a guarantee or certification of any product or business.
17. Featured Placement (Premium Listings)
Premium listings may receive enhanced visibility within the platform, including prioritized or featured placement in certain areas such as search results, category pages, or homepage displays.
Featured placement:
- Is determined by system-based factors, which may include rotation and randomization
- Is not exclusive to any single listing
- Is not guaranteed to appear at all times or in any specific position
While Premium listings are given increased visibility compared to non-premium listings, Shop State Made does not guarantee:
- Continuous placement on the homepage or any specific page
- A fixed ranking position
- Specific traffic, visibility, or sales outcomes
Featured placement is designed to provide fair and rotating exposure among eligible listings.
