Wintergreen Northern Wear was founded in 1987 by Susan and Paul Schurke after Susan designed clothing for their North Pole expedition. What began with expedition gear has grown into a family-owned outdoor clothing company based in Ely, Minnesota. Wintergreen designs, cuts, and sews its clothing in Minnesota, using quality materials and real outdoor experience to create gear built for cold weather and everyday adventures. The Boundary Waters and northern wilderness continue to inspire the company, while local workers and small-town craftsmanship remain an important part of the brand.
